Sandy Coor VFW Post 1433 and VFW Auxiliary 1433 proudly support programs and organizations dedicated to assisting the families of fallen military service members, including support and awareness for the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS).

We remain committed to honoring the service and sacrifice of America’s fallen heroes by supporting surviving families through remembrance, compassion, community engagement, and veteran fellowship.


Supporting Gold Star and Surviving Families

We recognize that the loss of a military service member impacts entire families and communities. Post 1433 and Auxiliary 1433 support efforts that:

What is TAPS?

The Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) is a national nonprofit organization that provides compassionate care and support to all those grieving the death of a military loved one.

TAPS offers:

  • Emotional support and peer mentorship
  • Grief resources and counseling connections
  • Survivor seminars and retreats
  • Youth and family programs
  • Assistance navigating loss and recovery

Post 1433 encourages awareness and support for organizations and programs that assist surviving military families.


Gold Star Family Recognition

We proudly honor Gold Star Families whose loved ones made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

Post 1433 and Auxiliary 1433 support:

  • Gold Star Family recognition
  • Memorial observances
  • Patriotic ceremonies
  • Community remembrance events

Memorial and Remembrance Programs

Our Post participates in remembrance activities that may include:

  • Memorial Day ceremonies
