Sandy Coor VFW Post 1433 and VFW Auxiliary 1433 are committed to strengthening our community through volunteerism, veteran support, youth engagement, patriotic service, and partnerships that improve the lives of veterans, military families, and local residents.

Our Community Service Programs reflect the Veterans of Foreign Wars mission of serving veterans, supporting our neighbors, and building stronger communities through leadership and civic engagement.

Veteran and Military Family Support

Post 1433 and Auxiliary 1433 provide support and outreach to veterans, active-duty military personnel, and military families through:

  • Veteran assistance and referrals

  • Veteran visitation and wellness checks

  • Emergency support coordination

  • Advocacy for veterans’ issues


Community Volunteer Projects

Memorial Day and Patriotic Service Projects

  • Cemetery flag placement and recovery

VFW Day of Service

As part of the national VFW Day of Service initiative, Post 1433 and Auxiliary 1433 organize and participate in projects that encourage veterans and citizens to continue serving their communities after military service.

  • Youth mentorship opportunities
