Sandy Coor VFW Post 1433 and VFW Auxiliary 1433 proudly honor and remember America’s Prisoners of War (POW) and those still Missing in Action (MIA). Through education, remembrance ceremonies, patriotic observances, and community outreach, we remain committed to ensuring that the sacrifices of these service members are never forgotten.

Our POW/MIA program reflects our dedication to remembering those who never returned home and supporting continued awareness of their service and sacrifice.

POW/MIA Remembrance Table

The POW/MIA Remembrance Table serves as a powerful symbol honoring missing and captive service members.

Our programs may include educational presentations explaining the meaning behind:

  • The white tablecloth

  • The single red rose

  • The empty chair

  • The candle

  • The lemon slice and salt

  • The inverted glass

  • The Bible

  • The POW/MIA flag

These symbols remind us that many service members remain unaccounted for and are never forgotten.

Post 1433 proudly displays the POW/MIA flag as a symbol of national remembrance and commitment to those who remain missing.
